we took the bus into the city one night. it was packed, we were in the very front. there were 2 drunk girls dressed like it was prom. that’s how they all dress here. stood right next to us. they were best friends. it was one’s 18th birthday.
next thing ya know the birthday girl proceeded to puke on her friend. literally projectile vomits red chunks to her face. the friend with vom on her was able to turn to the birthday girl (eyes closed and covered with bile) rub her back telling her “its okay you’ll be fine were gonna have a great night!!”…..

oh yeah, we are here to study at a university so I guess we should share that information …
UCC has a beautiful campus. All the buildings are walking distance .. far walks compared to Scranton but walking distance. The classes they offer for international students are so far, good.. they seem very easy-going here in Ireland with studies especially compared to America. Now that March has arrived this is the month all the papers are due and students seem to stress a little more. Hopefully we all pass our classes.
We are staying in Victoria Lodge. (NOT recommended if you are studying here) The place was dirty when we arrived, each person(FEMALES) get five minutes each in the morning of warm water to shower, some of the outlets do not work or will blow out your straightener, the distance from campus/cork city is very far walking distance … there is a whole list we can continue with. Even though we can’t compare it to other accommodations, our friend says University Hall is nice and we hear “the spires” are a fun and good place to stay.
This distillery in the small town of Midleton is a MUST! The bus stop is on the same block so it is not a far walk. The gift shop has many nice things and the restaurant is AMAZING! We enjoyed the delicious food before our tour. The tour is not too long but not too short and you get to taste some whiskey at the end!! And you enjoy a Jameson with either cranberry, ginger ale, or on the rocks. (personal choice)
